Android APK download — recommended for Nigerian traders
Most Nigerian Android users find the IQ Option app absent or restricted in their Google Play Store. This happens because Google Play has regional rules around real-money financial apps, and some Nigerian account configurations trigger the restriction. The APK bypasses this entirely — it downloads directly from IQ Option’s CDN and installs without going through the Play Store.
Why the APK is the better choice anyway
The APK installs IQ Option X (package ID: com.iqoption.x) — a separate, more capable version than the Play Store app. It includes binary options and digital options in addition to all CFD instruments. Google removed binary options apps from Play Store in 2018, so the Play Store version (com.iqoption) only covers CFDs. If you want to trade binary or digital options on mobile, the APK is your only option.
How to install the IQ Option APK on Android

IQOptionX.apk(74 MB) saves to your Downloads folder. Track it in your notification bar. - Open your notification bar and tap the completed download, or open your Files app → Downloads → IQOptionX.apk.
- If Android shows “Installation blocked” or “Not allowed”: see the note below on enabling unknown sources, then return to this step.
- Tap Install. The installer shows the app permissions — review and confirm. Installation takes about 30 seconds.
- Tap Open. Log in with your existing account, or tap Register to create a new account and access the free $10,000 demo immediately.
Enabling “Install unknown apps” on Android
Android 8.0 (Oreo) and above: The permission is per-app. When the block message appears, tap Settings in the dialog. Find the browser or file manager you used to download the APK and toggle Allow from this source on. Return to the APK file and tap Install.
Android 7.0 and below: There is a single global setting. Go to Settings → Security → Unknown sources and toggle it on. A warning appears — confirm. You can turn this setting back off after installation if you prefer.
Note: Google Play Protect continues scanning all installed apps for threats regardless of where they were installed from.
Android — Google Play Store
IQ Option is also available on Google Play as a standard CFD trading app. If your Play Store shows the app, you can install it from there. Be aware of two differences versus the APK: this version requires Android 7.0 or later (versus 5.1 for the APK), and it does not include binary or digital options.
If your Play Store shows “This app is not available in your country” or the app simply does not appear in search results, use the APK above.

IQ Option is available on the Nigerian App Store. The iOS app includes all CFD instruments and is updated regularly through Apple’s standard update mechanism.

IQ Option download for PC — Windows
The Windows desktop app gives you the full trading environment on a large screen: up to 9 charts simultaneously, the complete library of technical indicators, and a faster, more stable connection than browser-based trading. It runs on any Windows PC from Windows 7 onwards with at least 2 GB of RAM.

setup.msi(130 MB) downloads automatically. - Open the downloaded file. If Windows Defender SmartScreen appears with a warning, click More info → Run anyway. The file comes from IQ Option’s official servers.
- The Setup Wizard opens. Click Next and accept the licence agreement.
- Choose an installation path (the default
C:\Program Files\IQ Optionis fine) and click Install. - Wait approximately 1–2 minutes while files are copied.
- Click Finish. IQ Option launches automatically and creates a shortcut on your desktop.
- Log in with your email and password.
If your antivirus blocks the installer
Some antivirus programs flag the IQ Option installer as suspicious due to its network behaviour (live market data connections). This is a false positive. Add the downloaded setup.msi to your antivirus exception list, or temporarily pause protection during installation, then re-enable it afterwards. The installer is downloaded from IQ Option’s official CDN.
IQ Option download for Mac (macOS)
The macOS desktop app requires macOS 10.10 Yosemite or later. It downloads as a standard .dmg disc image and installs by dragging to your Applications folder — no package installer needed.
How to install on Mac

.dmgfrom your Downloads folder or the browser download bar. - A window appears with the IQ Option icon and your Applications folder. Drag the IQ Option icon onto the Applications folder.
- Open your Applications folder and double-click IQ Option to launch.
- First launch only — Gatekeeper warning: macOS may show “IQ Option cannot be verified”. Right-click (or Control–click) the IQ Option icon → Open → click Open again in the dialog. This is a one-time step.
- Log in with your account credentials.
No download needed — web trading platform
IQ Option runs fully in a browser. Open iqoption.com on any device — Android, iPhone, Windows, Mac, or Linux — and trade without installing anything. The web platform supports all CFD instruments, indicators, chart types, and account management.
On Android or iPhone, you can install the platform as a Progressive Web App (PWA) for an app-like experience without a full download: open iqoption.com in Chrome, tap the three-dot menu, and tap Add to Home Screen. This creates an icon that opens IQ Option in a full-screen window without browser navigation bars.
Use the web platform as a fallback if the app is not working on your device, or as a primary trading environment on shared or low-storage devices.

After installing — three steps to start trading
Whether you installed the APK, the desktop app, or opened the web platform, the same first steps apply.
If you have an account, sign in with your email and password. New users: tap Register — it takes 30 seconds and no deposit is required to access the demo.

Troubleshooting common install problems
These are the most frequent issues Nigerian users report when downloading or opening IQ Option for the first time.
The IQ Option app may be restricted for accounts registered in Nigeria due to Google Play’s regional financial app policies.
Fix: Use the direct APK download at the top of this page. It is the official IQ Option X app (74 MB, Android 5.1+) and does not require the Play Store.
Android blocks APK files from sources other than the Play Store by default.
Fix (Android 8+): Tap Settings in the prompt → find your browser in the list → toggle Allow from this source on → return and tap Install.
Fix (Android 7 and below): Go to Settings → Security → enable Unknown sources → install the APK.
Some antivirus tools flag trading software installers due to their network connections — this is a false positive.

This is almost always an insufficient RAM issue. The app needs at least 2 GB of RAM free to launch.
Fix: Close all other apps to free RAM. On Android, go to Settings → Apps → IQ Option → Storage → Clear cache, then relaunch. If the problem persists, uninstall the app, restart your device, and reinstall.
Common causes: typo in email or password (case-sensitive), or using the wrong login method.
Fix: If you registered via Google or Facebook, use the same button — your email address may not have a password set. Use Forgot password to reset. If you recently switched networks or used a VPN, IQ Option may have flagged the session — contact support@iqoption.com.
The app requires DirectX 9 and OpenGL support. If your GPU drivers are outdated, you may see an error at launch.
Fix: Open Device Manager → Display Adapters → right-click your graphics card → Update driver. Alternatively, visit your GPU manufacturer’s website (NVIDIA, AMD, or Intel) and download the latest driver for your model.
